Yeah! If anybody wants to come on over, you'd have to get a SA account, but the devs are taking requests!

Hi all,

So I'm Bacter, one half of the Bacter/Mzbundifund team that's been doing a Let's Play of Amulets and Armor, which can be found here, if you're so inclined.

We managed to get Lysle Shields and Janus Anderson on board (check the last few pages of the LP!) but I know Something Awful sometimes makes it tough to see the thread, so in case this is one of those times, I thought I'd release the coolest news in the LP so far here for our mutual excitement!

Looks like you might get your wish on this -- well -- the attempt at starting one.

I just had a good talk with David Webster and it looks we will be releasing a "Community Edition" version of the game. I have three major goals/steps with this version:
1) Release the full game to the public and work on fixing the (at least obvious) bugs in the game. A full port to windows (no longer requiring DosBox or other networking tools) will be considered and hopefully done in short order.
2) Setup some type of level editing system. In addition, I want to develop an easy way for users to share their creations and play multiplayer games on both old and new content.
3) Finally, release all or part of the source to allow additions/modifications of the game logic itself.

Just think -- now you can be John the Wizard and teleport players to anywhere you want.
