General Discussion / Your first experience with Amulets and Armor

What was it like? how did it go? What did you think about the game at first?
As for me? I was a little confused as to what did what. I saw all these options, items, etc. Got a little confused at first, then when it got to combat even more so. Remember my first experience with the Mage. accidently dropped my knife and started punching the elfs (had no idea how to do magic at the time
). needless to say once I got things figured out, and found out all the cool little concepts of the game like how the runes work, that you need food and water as well, it started to become really awesome.
