The A&A 1.04 installer creates about 250-300 instances of "vcredist_x86.exe" and seems to hang. This has happened to me on Vista x64 and Win7 x64.

I was thinking that a Media section showcasing some screenshots, and perhaps some links to youtube videos might be good to have on the main page of the website, to showcase the game a little bit more to those that happen upon the website.

For posterity's sake, I thought I'd list some of the map differences I'm aware of in the Abandonware and Classic versions of Amulets and Armor.

1. Classic Version does not include the Coded Messages on Q1M1 in the room with the switch that opens the exit gate, or the Rosetta Stone note that reads "My Name Is Belisar" on Q2M2 in Belisar's Tomb.

2. In the Abandonware versino of Q1M4, Jugurtha's library, there's a Mage Magic Missile Scroll on a Table. In the classic version, it's the "Welcome Adventurer" note.

3. The Skyboxes are different colors in the Abandonware version, compared to the Classic Version.
In the Abandonware version, The skyboxes in Visions of Jugurtha (Q1) are blue (Purple in classic). In the Knights of Andrew (Q2), they're brown (Purple in Classic). In Elmore's Retreat (Q3), they're Blue (Purple in classic, except for Q3M5, I think.).
I didn't check all the maps, but in The Temple of Astarte (Q5M1), they're orange red. In the Lost City (Q6M1, they're Brown again). In Destruction Q7M1, they're brown. Versus purple.

In Q1M4, Jugurtha's library, the "Welcome Adventurer" note is on a table in the main library room by the entrance. In the abandonware release of A&A, this note is actually the Mage Spell Magic Missile.

I suggest either changing the Welcome Adventure note back to the Mage Spell Magic Missile, or removing it from the level.

It would be nice to have a screenshot button for A&A that would save a screen dump, ideally to Amulets & Armor\Screenshots
A lot of games use the printscreen button, or one of the "F" keys. Being able to change the binding would be nice too.

Bug Reports / [FEATURE] Messages in upper left disappear after 30 seconds

Feature request for messages in the upper left to disappear after 30 seconds. Currently, they remain FOREVER. When long messages appear there, it can block a lot of the screen.

One of the major annoyances of mages, is their very limited carrying capacity. If the Feather and flying spell/potion temporarily increased the max load of the player, it would add a lot of usefulness to the spell and the classes with weaker strength.

Bug Reports / [BUG 1.04] msvcr100.dll was not found

After installation of A&A and the VC Redistributable 2012, the error: "The application failed to start because msvcr100.dll was not found" is displayed upon execution. Installing the 2010 VC Redistributable resolves the issue.

Bug Reports / [FIXED] [Bug 1.03] Crash when ending a level

I've mentioned this bug before in an e-mail, but the game sometimes crashes when ending a level, as soon as you step into the ending area. I'm reporting it again, because I've gotten a fairly consistent crash using the character in the attached zip, about 5 times in a row. On Elmore's Retreat. Hopefully, it crashes on your computer as well so we can finally get this bug squashed. It's by far the most aggravating, as sometimes one can spend 20-30 minutes on a level, and have it crash AT THE VERY END. *Sobs*

The last few times that I got it to crash on Elmore's Retreat, mission 4, I simply ignored all enemies, and picked up the ring of keys, and ran to the exit.

The game can crash when ending any level though. I don't think I've found any that tend to crash more often than others.

I tried attaching the file to the post, but I got an error, "Cannot access upload path" or something like that.

If the player uses a scroll of blink while in town, the game crashes.

As the title says, weapons such as Windbite, and Schtick apply their speed stat increase, however this increase doesn't display on the stat screen.

In the abandonware release of A&A, there were several messages of coded text that appeared in Q1M1 and a decoding note in Belisar's Tomb Q2M2, that seemed to have been removed for the Classic and Windows version.

I've uploaded them here, and was wondering if anyone had ever taken the time to decode them?

Audio of ambient sounds "pop" for a fraction of a second at full volume second. This seems to happen across all maps, and  most often with the "rushing water" sound.

I've recorded a video and uploaded it to youtube for your viewing pleasure, and so it's a little easier to understand what I'm talking about. =)

Bug Reports / [FEATURE] Ring of Jumping reduces fall damage

A nice feature for the ring of jumping would be to reduce fall damage slightly, but not completely. I sometimes equip 2 rings of jumping, and I end up taking fall damage if I jump off a short platform. It would also confer some immunity to pitfall traps.
