I'm pondering some ideas on how to change classes to make them more unique in my mod branch.

My first thought is to limit wands so that only wizardly classes can use them. This will make utility spells like Knock less available.

My second thought is to add backstabbing as a class based advantage. Anyone with thieving abilities would be able to do an automatic crit (possibly at 4 or 5 times damage) on an unsuspecting enemy.
  (Note: this requires a fix that I'm putting in anyway, to prevent enemy agro at the beginning of a swing animation. It should happen at damage for sneak attacks)


With the backstab, and the throwing daggers that I already added, I think that limiting characters who are allowed to use daggers would be important too.
  (This becomes important because a few daggers overpower swords in the midgame, and making them only available to theives would be interesting)


I'd like to remove magic altogether from the new classes that I added. This would replace the spell casting power with some innate ability that grows through leveling. Possibly activating the power like spells, but only being allowed to activate the power at certain levels.

The priest healing spell should work on others in multiplayer. I'm thinking that it should cause a healing radius and just heal both for the same.

Increase sailor punch damage (4dmg)

Eliminate XP if hitting invulnerable enemies. (Although I'm sure they are taking some damage based on how  XP work)

Give xp for certain utility spells... like knocking elves off a cliff.

Faster food/water decreasing, steeper penalty

Add penalty to skills, magic, or even movement when heavy armor is equiped. (giving advantage to leather) (NOTE: Added an implementation where even leather has a speed penalty. Should appeal to no armor classes if needed)

Prevent some characters from using "attack spells"

Make spell effects based on magic score

Slow down casting and wand speeds

Modify poison damage by constitution score. Also adjust based on heartrate.

Any other ideas are welcome, and so is discussion or dismissal of existing suggestions. :)

I think there was a request to make the sailor be a badass with bare handed punching.
