[1.04] Installer creates 250-300 instances of "vcredist_x86.exe" and hangs

The A&A 1.04 installer creates about 250-300 instances of "vcredist_x86.exe" and seems to hang. This has happened to me on Vista x64 and Win7 x64.

Wow!  I use Vista 32-bit on this computer and did not have a problem.  Hmm ... maybe run the installer in Administrative rights?

I've installed on win7 64 and win8 64 and never had an issue. I'm sure you can install the visual c++ redistributable manually and the installer will ignore it.

I believe this uses the 2010 redist:

This happened even to my window 7 32 when I reinstalled the AA. But thankfully, I waited patiently and the installation went find :)
