"Chessboard" trap

In some mission of the Temple of Astarte there is a floor with white, red and blue tiles. Is there any way solve this puzzle easily, or I just have to run several times in hope that I'll push the proper tiles only?

You have to lower the squares of the same colour, however if you hit the white ones the puzzle resets,

Here's an image of what to do (I think, it's been awhile since I played this quest), follow the red arrow, then blue, then green.
