Coded messages
« on: October 07, 2013, 05:50:48 PM »
In the abandonware release of A&A, there were several messages of coded text that appeared in Q1M1 and a decoding note in Belisar's Tomb Q2M2, that seemed to have been removed for the Classic and Windows version.

I've uploaded them here, and was wondering if anyone had ever taken the time to decode them?

Holy crap, I remember these!

They're about the Agaean god. I was hoping they'd hint at how to kill him, but I believe they're mostly back story about Priam and the city of light.

Would you like to translate them again for posterity? =)

I wonder why they appeared in the abandonware version, but not the classic version. Was the abandonware version out of date? Or were they modified? It seems a little strange that they'd have something added. Are there any other differences known?

The coded messages were decoded as part of the Let's Play which is now archived here:  http://lparchive.org/Amulets-Armor/

RoeCocoa decoded them and the Let's Play put up a special page here:  http://lparchive.org/Amulets-Armor/Update%2036/

I didn't realize they were removed between the versions.  Strange.  That's going to drive me crazy looking at old versions and such.  I wonder if it was in the original shareware version (or visa-versa).
