Greetings, ladies and gentlemen.
I come to your aid due to the fact I've found a very specific problem, which I'm not certain whether it is a bug or a feature of the game. Recently I've made a Mage character and played through the game normally; however at some point, my magik regeneration rate rather than increasing, I noticed it decreased, it got so bad I was regenerating 1 mana at level 7. I used the Character Editor available on the Editing forum and remade my character thrice and I happened to notice a few things:
1: Whenever he is poisoned, the Mage instead of lowering health, increases his mana. He makes the grunting "ugh" sound but his mana increases rather than his health decreasing, he has to get to a very high level of poisoning in order for his health to go down. After a while, this appears to cause magik regen to be reduced
2: On map 5 of quest one, Visions of Jugurtha, it appears that the eponymous wizard's attacks lower magik regeneration rate, after he is defeated and the level is done however, the rate doesn't go back to usual.
3: The last time I edited my character, I resolved not to go through quest 1 nor use anything poison related, out of fear of having my regeneration rate reduced once again. This character began at level 10 and after a little while reached level 13 (some oddity of the editor I'm not quite familiar with), his average mana regen being 9 every 3 seconds or so. After playing for about 3 levels though, upon beginning map 4 of quest 3, it became quite obvious that my regeneration rate had lowered, since now I was regenerating between 7 and 8 instead of a solid 9 all the time.
This leads me to the inquiry, does this happen to be an unreported bug, or a feature of the game which I happen to be unfamiliar with?
And if either, does there happen to be any way to solve? Playing a Mage character is quite amusing, however it becomes very frustrating when mana regeneration doesn't allow for reliable spellcasting.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Yours truly, Sallazar.
