Does anyone use Lock outside of trolling?
« on: November 03, 2013, 01:50:48 PM »
The modder/mapper in me likes the idea of having a 'lock' spell in the list of what's avalible in the base game, but is there any sort of use outside of maybe corraling enemies/seperating you from the endless griffon spawning?

Interesting question.  Making a level where the doors keep unlocking and letting creatures in would be interesting.  I guess I still have Halloween on the brain, because I picture a situation where you are just trying to survive an onslaught and you have to lock all the doors or they'll get in.  But that's very similar to what you're saying.

Now if thief tools werne't quite so sucky I could see it as a legit stratagy herd/eadal the monsters into a specific room or three. Bonus points if said room was a giant trap.

Granted xp works off doing damage instead of kills so you're cheating yourself out of things. Unless you also get xp for kills on top of. Doubt it since why bother?

Sorry if I'm saying things a hundred other people have said but I hadn't seen the discussion/topic on forum .
